The orbs are older and beyond common explanation. I've seen them first hand in 2001 in the army with more people, to this day without a rational explanation what the heck those things were.
Look on Wikipedia for "Foo fighter" (not the band) and see for the reports for yourself since WWII. In Brazil they have been extensively documented, yet no idea who controls them.
