change wallets..or clients, or devices 😅
🤣😂🤣
I've been using Strike for a while now.
I'm considering on switching to Zeus or Mutiny.
What's your favorite L2 lightning wallet?
It depends on your need. If it’s just for receiving nostr zaps, then unless you’re receiving very large amounts it’s better to just stick with something custodial like Strike, Primal, Wallet of Satoshi, etc. Keep the wallet balance relatively low (pocket change amounts) and transfer to self custody if it starts to get too high. You can use ZeusPay for self custodial zaps, but will encounter higher fees and channel close/open fees. You can also use Alby Hub and connect to your own always-on node if you have one, or pay their monthly fee for a hosted node. You’d have to decide if the cost is worth it.
As for Mutiny they recently announced they are shutting down their wallet and related services so I wouldn’t recommend using it at all.
As a follow up to my other reply, for standard sending and receiving lightning payments, I’m a big fan of Breez wallet. See @Breez . It’s a self custodial LN wallet. You’ll just need to make sure the app is open when sending/receiving. So it would work for sending zaps, but not for receiving them. Aqua Wallet is a good one for sending/receiving lightning payments, but I think has a 1000 sats minimum per transaction limit.
Just run a @npub1r29m...23pd and open some channels. LND is my favorite L2
