They'll eventually get over it. Obviously the elite researchers aren't really that elite and smart researchers aren't really that smart if they feel threatened. And 90% of stuff researchers did was obviously bullshit and not real research. The 10% is the added value they should be paid for.
Especially in his field. It's all big data sets. only on the margins do you see the need for critical thinking. Of all the sciences astronomy probably the most affected by aI.
In a couple years, people will be obligated to hand their life to an agent AI otherwise they'll stay behind or how this guy felt.
any technology whe introduced is optional, but does not necessarily remain optional.
