It was massive for me. I was in my HODL-cave for a few years and decided this summer to see what was going on with my magic internet money I knew nothing about Lightning or Nostr or anything, but started listening to Bitcoin podcasts on my vacation. Then I saw this fantastic video on how Lightning works and I started zapping around on Nostr and I was like "Yes! they actually solved instant trustless payments after all!"
