Many are celebrating this in the West not realising that in places like Diego Garcia there are strategic bombers in the open. . Note that a container ship is most likely sitting a few miles off shore waiting to do the exact same thing to US bombers. Now, imagine a response from the US if their strategic bombers (even the decommissioned ones) were hit? So what's stopping Russia right now? We're yet to see.

There still seems to be no serious recognition that a million of these things are the most powerful military tool imaginable. Even 50 SONAR miniguns lining the deck unloading at full tilt wouldn’t save an aircraft carrier from a swarm of these. The economics of war have changed dramatically without it having been seen in practice. But the ability for a small country to punch well above their weight has certainly changed.
