It's an analogy kiddo. What do you think NATO is if it isn't primarily an anti-Russia aggressor? Russia is as keen to have NATO/US missiles based in Ukraine as the the US is to having Russian ones in Cuba or Mexico.

Russia is the overwhelming aggressor of that part of the world for centuries.
That’s why NATO exists.
Why do you think the vast vast majority of Ukrainians want as far away from autocratic Russia as possible???
You sound like some US “libertarian” that gargles Tucker Carlson and Jeffrey Sachs trash.
“Libertarians” that don’t believe the free country of Ukraine should be allowed to self determine.
