i’m switching from wax to liquid latex. only alumina wax for the feet here on out. when the glaze pools on the wax you have to wipe it off, and if it dries then it has to be scraped off. the problem with this is you run the risk of disrupting glazes under the wax… vs with the latex i just pull off and any glaze on top comes off with it. besides alumina on the feet the only other place im using wax from here is specific times when digging to find the latex under glaze is dangerous. anyway these two mugs probably are not going to be stellar due to a firing error and me learning this lesson
