It should absolutely be taken seriously, they have the majority of the worlds population, majority of the worlds GDP, and is where 90% of all population and GDP growth is happening over the next 50 years.

Some individual countries should really be taken seriously, what I mean is BRICS as an entity shouldn't
As do I. As a whole, they have economic and populace majorities. For now, not a concern. 20 years? Unclear.
