The idea behind changing sats to “bitcoin” to make it sound cheaper may seem helpful for mass adoption, but it risks backfiring completely. People already understand that 1 Bitcoin is valuable—that’s part of its appeal. Telling them that coffee now costs thousands of bitcoin would confuse them even more, not less. This isn’t creating a Bitcoin Standard. It’s diluting the most powerful meme in Bitcoin’s history: There will only ever be 21 million. Trying to rewrite that just to make the unit sound smaller misses the point entirely—and honestly, it sounds more like a fiat mindset than a Bitcoin one.
