Apparently it's not enough to just run Bitcoin Knots. If you're using Umbrel, go into the Bitcoin Knots app and click on the three dots next to connect. Then click "Advanced Settings" and then "Optimization." Scroll down until you find "Relay transaction with embedded data" and ensure this setting is disabled. Bonus points if you also turn on "Reject tokens transactions" to disable other garbage like runes. 😁

Basically more spam and garbage. It's an "extra token" on the Bitcoin blockchain. So basically a scamcoin. Bitcoin Knots allows you to filter out runes and inscriptions as well as enforcing OP_RETURN filters.

Ya bro IDK. Maybe they realized the only digital currency that mattered was Bitcoin so they decided to try their shit over here. Unfortunately for them, this network is defended by people who give a fuck about money and what it is. I'm really glad I decided to open my ears and listen. All this spam should not be on the blockchain. I feel so stupid like I was so slow to just switch to Knots and do the right thing. I feel like some of my compassion was used against me or something. Fucking disgusting.
