Using or not using zaps in the end is a matter of choice. Do you want to put yourself on a market or do you want to share of yourself with others. Being of service should not be conditioned by money and i feel we are encouraging this mindset. I used zaps for a few days and i didn't like the feeling. It took away the unconditional part of giving. One starts having expectations. Makes comparison. What trends and what not. Art market kills art because the pure authentic impulse is tamed by the treats and the public reaction.

I couldn’t agree more with you. It’s hard to stay real and natural when thinking of what you post will earn you some sats or not.
I like the mechanic, but if it happens it happens, there’s no need for me to chase trends for money 🙂
Disagree but respect your opinion.
Zapped you.
I also respect different positions and different relations to it. Some are investors some are builders some are generating dynamics some bring the materials. I am an explorer. The only currency that matters is passion for discovery. Sacrificing money for freedom and time is part of my way of doing things. So it suited me better that way. Also i understand the goal of bringing value back into currency. Not quite sure if the "chain", at this early stage, allows for enough flow and organic development. Chaos is mandatory before structure takes place and i feel zapping can become a form of control, just like with real money. It can also bring more awareness and liberation. Who knows😏

Still, there is potential here that it can move focus from the image to the content. In art, the market and the dealers have put too much emphasis on the branding and the artist came to mean more than the creation. Maybe this can be reversed from the inside with zapping content. The zapping can influence dinamics, educate, it's true. Building infrastructures depends on resources of all sorts.
I kinda agree with you but halfway (I think I misspelled but I’m not sure, sorry).
The potential in here is the same as with everything Bitcoin: we get rid of the middleman. This meaning we can skip the art curators and all the bureaucracy around it.
So yeah, I hope with #zaps we can do justice and give real value for value. But for those like me who are not offering “value” in the sense of arts there’s a thin like between being ourselves or begging for money.
