Napoleon's rise was when he showed proof of work by defeating his enemies, winning the hearts of his men, taking real wealth from his conquests, and giving the inhabitants of conquered cities more freedom. His downfall was when he controlled the state, implemented retarded trade policies, forgot about his own citizens, and led a conscripted army into a war of vanity against patient and ruthless Russians. Funny how being such a brilliant man with incredible insight still didn't stop him from going full retard. Should have stayed humble.
