You fail to distinguish between hope and hopium. The former is based in reality. The latter is based in lies. You are allowed to hope, Michael, because the truth is real and unstoppable, therefore the future will be better. But you are also allowed to dispair if you choose, as you are now, and if you're not careful you'll allow it to devour you. Please don't allow yourself to be devoured by darkness. But choose the way of truth and light. Because it is real and it is the better way. You get the future you choose to believe is true, because you become what you believe. Therefore, I humble recommend you believe the truth. And the truth is, the future of humanity is going to be better than now. If you believe this truth, you get to come on the journey.
