We just need the right UI to attract the masses to adopt Bitcoin! Just one more talk at a big conference! Just one more square merchant taking a cut in sats! I'm now completely and utterly disillusioned to the same degree I was when I realized fiat money was fake. It feels terrible.

I mean there are many halvings ahead. Just imagine the horror and FUD to come. We've barely scratched the surface here. Bitcoin does this every time. It plays dead and then it rips. I don't make the rules.

It really does do this. The way we are as a species is that our actions define the tail risks we expose ourselves to. Some people just choose to be retarded and have devestating tail risks in their future. Doing retarded things in the bull has always come back to bite us in the bear. But once the dust settles we can start again. I'm glad for this regular clearing away of bad practices and culture.
