What gives me hope is that once you see it, you can't unsee it. Shitcoiners eventually become maximalists, but never the other way around. All roads lead to Bitcoin, and it's a one-way road.

Haven't thought about it this way, but while reading your statement it spontaneous presents itself to me as being true. I haven't even read about someone who understood bitcoin and went back to the alts...
