The skill of being able to verify accuracy of information is the most importantly one to have.
Just because it was just posted on the internet doesn’t mean it’s true.

my Dad, bless him... used to believe everything that was said on TV. it never stopped during his entire life.
i think it's mainly people who think that because more people think something it must be true, which is usually the opposite of the case other than things like "the sky is blue" or "it's raining out"

As someone who used to put shit on tv, I can tell you very few question at all what they are told.
Where it comes from.
Who said it.
Timing/ age of information.
Consequences, repercussions.
It’s entertainment tbh
For far too many, all that is needed is it fit their preconceived notions.
