If you are using a web wallet for bitcoin that runs on a server that is outside of your control. Then you are always running the risk of having your bitcoin compromised by bugs, hacks, and/or flaws in the design placed there on purpose.
Always self host your own lightning or on chain wallets whenever you can on machines you locally control that are off the public internet.
Always move the majority of your sats to on-chain for cold storage.
If you must use a 3rd party service for a lightning wallet. Then never keep more than what you are willing to lose in there at any given time.
This post has been motivated by the recent coinos compromise. If it happens once shame on you, if it happens twice shame on me, if it happens 3-4 times. Wake the fuck up and use something else entirely. Never go look back.
