Zcash is pumping Encrypted Bitcoin A much better store of value when shielded The Bitcoin we could have had since 2014 if the community activated Zerocash How does the Bitcoin community respond to the privacy hype wave? “Oh, here’s Silent Payments!” The same thing DarkWallet came up with in 2013. The same thing Samourai Wallet had as PayNyms. The same thing you already have in Cake Wallet alongside PayJoins. Basically a nice UX for receiver privacy. Something Satoshi already solved and described in chapter 10 of the whitepaper: generate a new address for every incoming transaction. But hey, now it’s available in Sparrow wallet. Which only 200 nerds actually use. Electrum too! Blue Wallet is working on it! Yet it solves nothing: the amounts are still visible, the sender is still visible, the receiver can still reveal his addresses by mistake. Fucking retards.

Lmao! Sad but true. The tech being used is well over a decade old.
It's a deflection move. They can not have plebs discovering Minero/digital cash while in the midst of employing their digital prison
Main character syndrome, look it up. Zcash has been in development for a decade and now it’s finally ready for mainstream adoption. These big VCs are early investors and they onboarded their friends too. Also, the shielded adoption doesn’t lie. Zcash is happening, even Monero is upgrading to be more like Zcash with FCMP.
Of course, the VCs tell their buddies like all other pumpers. They like to shill their bags like everybody else. They like to have control over a project (like every other VC) instead of a community lead project. While we talk about a great number of projects everyday, the shillers never mention Monero and if they do it's never in a good light. That's intellect dishonest and you are a rare exception. If you think transaction data is organic you fell for the believable shill. It's extremely easy to fake and extremely hard to produce in a real setup. The best stats we have are from merchants and services that publish their BTC, XMR and ZEC stats. Personally I am not just seeking a private way to pay. For that I would use Zcash under certain conditions just like I use BTC. The value in any money that wants to compete with fiat is in the community. Monero people will tell you to look at long-term averages over short term price fluctuation. Wake me up when VC buy real products and produce real organic demand with it. I bet you they prefer the convenience of their credit card.
What has changed recently? I think the only thing that has changed is that VCs realize there is a sellable narrative and that they can pump zcash. You have been around long enough to see that so I can only guess that you have your own bags to unload. I'm not a Monero user but it is clear as day that Monero has an organic user base and zcash has no user base, only pumpers and dumpers. Where can you even spend zcash since it is so useful for... Something?
If you took the time to download a wallet, you would see that Zcash has DeFi integrations with NEAR Intents & Maya protocol. Basically you can send shielded ZEC and perform a swap within minutes, so you can pay anywhere BTC, USDT, or whatever other coin is accepted without revealing how many coins you have in your wallet. The receiver will see an incoming transaction from a DeFi liquidity pool, the DeFi service has no idea who you are and how many coins you own outside the ones you sent.
Then those real tx from ZEC should show up in rising real USDT or BTC tx on merchants websites. What shows up is rising domination of Monero. You don't need to show your coin holdings, but a dsiclaimer stating I own 30% ZEC, 30% BTC, 10% XMR, 10% LTC, 10% BCH and 10% others or what ever the real numbers are would increase trust in your impartiality as a citizen journalist.
Look up Tachyon, it’s shipping this year on Zcash to bring very good scaling without the need for L2s. “Blockchains don’t scale” was valid a decade ago. Now we have better math and cryptography research.
You have sender privacy with Lightning. This feels like a solution looking for a problem. I don't believe that my atomic swap provider, @Boltz - Non-Custodial Bitcoin Exchange is maliciously recording all of my activity and they really can't record much anyway if I swap with Lightning. Also #Bitcoin is accepted natively at pretty much all crypto accepting stores so there is no need to perform a swap unless I want to for privacy reasons.
You have pretty much exposed yourself here. "Lightning is not Bitcoin" is a pretty well known altcoiner argument that is obviously false. I am able to unilaterally move my coins from a Lightning chanel to an on chain address as I see fit. How is that "not Bitcoin"? I think it's to change the name of your podcast to Altcoin Takeover.
You are free to attempt to run a #Bitcoin affinity scam podcast by using the word Bitcoin while pumping zcash and other altcoins. Funnily enough, you could be sent a cease and desist letter if you changed your podcast name to Zcash Takeover.
