It's funny, as they both understand them and my son is even studying informatics, but they just aren't cool or special, anymore. Grown-ass men chatting about their clankers reminds them of Opa and his friends talking about their model trains. Except that the trains have been uncool for long enough to be retro. ๐Ÿ˜‚
Something like Readly is going into Alex. So that you get daily sections of an array of books, newspapers, blogs, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and magazines to read through. And when you are done with those sections, you are marked done for the day, and it is over, close the app. They like apps to have a beginning and an end. No infinite scrolling.
Give them a solid group/community app that lets them add any content type they want in the groups/communities. Webxdc games, knitting patterns, 3D print files, homework solutions, Music tracks, Mangas... All things they can only clumsely integrate in their. current chat-based apps.
Hehe, they ain't joining on their parents on da public square, that's for certain.
Maybe we're focusing badly on this generation Z. They do not share our same interests and concerns for privacy, security or freedom or for technology as a means to achieve it, they take almost everything for granted. Their interests are more human.
