But the point is this guy may be a dick, but not a bot. And people treat other people differently. So feature blocking out actual person as he's tagged bot just because he had some fights with someone else isn't ideal. I don't care about your fights, we have naturally different experiences. Hence, as I wrote somewhere else, it would be nice to differentiate between "I report this scam/ai bot/porn filth" and "I fucking hate this asshole."
I agree. The jury is still out on this one. It has been very bot-like in the past. I don't ever use the "report" option unless it's rapid-fire spamming some crap or some obvious scam attempt, so if I reported it, there was definitely a good reason. I would have seen it as spam clogging things up, not just annoying. @calle probably made a similar decision. If I have a personal beef, it just gets a private mute. I don't think those will affect your feed because your client can't decrypt my mute list to see who's on it. This is kind of an interesting case, though, because your recent personal experience isn't actually that bad. It's honestly the first time I've seen it come up in this way.
