Not sure what "practice" you are talking about but from my experience people are losing followers and gaining them all the time on Nostr may have something to do with relays . Don't even keep track anymore. Stopped giving a shit about followers a long time ago. Maybe you should try it?

I am currently using 0xChat and Primal, I don't get notifications about that but when new contacts follow me, the numbers don't match and in a group they are already talking about that bot profile and its desperate and losing practice.
