Last night, I wasted a significant amount of time before going to bed trying to determine whether the issue was a bug in nostrfy or a problem with the NIPs themselves. The problem stemmed from inconsistencies in relay-side NIP specifications.
Many developers actively propose NIPs to support their own applications, but the same level of attention and responsibility must be applied to relay-side specifications. Relay-side NIPs must be consistent, coherent, and free of contradictions.
It is unacceptable to leave relay developers behind while prioritizing application developers. Relay developers are equally important to the ecosystem, and their needs deserve the same level of consideration. Specifications must work for everyone, not just those building applications.
