it is definitely not better, flooded with scammers, lies and bad incentives for engagement, mixed with advertising cancer, and an algorithm that clearly skews to amplifying negativity, hatred, short-termism. that’s why important and loud voices which balance the scales are important there. lots of whom have self-censored their voices from there, while like you said maintaining their vision on what’s happening there (almost impossible not to, because it has become the new mainstream). not good imo, worst of both worlds.
