Forgive me while I ask a few nostr questions that were hot topics before I had my baby and disappeared:
1. What are iOS users using to zap notes? Did any of the workarounds gain traction?
2. I see that some clients (Damus, Primal) let you upload images and photos with a note. Who is doing the hosting for that? Surely this canβt be a free feature forever?

1. Try this:
2. You can pay nostr.build (or other hosts) for advanced features, otherwise basic image hosting is still currently free
Zap Zap Zap
For #2, I find nostr.build the easiest to use for embedding pictures and other media in notes. nostr.build has both free and paid options.
For #1, I never updated my Damus app (because I never do updates, lol), so I still have the old version before all the drama with Apple.
They are actually stored in the twilight realm of Gozer, accessed via an api call to Zuul the Gatekeeper. There are many who say this unholy bargain will come back to haunt us in the future when our shitposts come to life and torture us in the offline world, forever transforming Earth into an hellscape of IRL social media memes. Real apocalyptic stuff. But at least there will be zaps!
Others say we can solve this problem by sheltering in our citadels after hyperbitcoinization. As usual, the debate raged hot for a while with pyrrhic victories on both sides until everyone got distracted by the price action and forgot all about it. Now they're all arguing about spam and mempool filters again.
IT WORKED!!! Thank you!!!
Wow, that is a great app! I appreciate all the detail it exposes like being able to see what app someone posted from. Thanks for the rec!
Iβ¦ uhhh.. wish I had a worthy response to this π
