Nostr is by far the easiest of the “platforms” (Nostr isn’t really a platform) you mentioned to create bot accounts. You can write a Python script to generate 20k npubs and follow yourself if you wanted. Follow counters on Nostr are a useless metric. However, follow counters are also a useless metric on centralized platforms, but to a lesser degree depending on the difficulty of creating bot accounts.
