Mainline DHT is only used for PKARR so doesn't need timestamping. Compute happens on servers/devices/endpoints that are addressed by a PKARR entry. But even so, its not as though there's a lack of decentralised #opentimestamps protocols that could be used if you wanted to split commits between all different resources for a maximally decentralised git. This isn't part of Pubky architecture but its not a bad idea.
