You can’t choose the period in the app like on the web app?

Try this:
To get a long-term chart of gold's market cap on TradingView, you can follow these steps:
1. **Open TradingView**: Go to the TradingView website or open the TradingView app.
2. **Search for Gold**: In the search bar at the top of the screen, type "Gold" and select the appropriate instrument. For market cap, you might want to search for "Gold ETF" like "GLD" or "IAU", which track the price of gold and can give you an idea of the market cap.
3. **Add Indicators**: Once you have the gold chart open, you can add indicators to calculate the market cap. Unfortunately, TradingView does not have a direct market cap indicator for commodities like gold. However, you can use the following workaround:
- **Calculate Market Cap Manually**: You can calculate the market cap manually by using the formula:
\[
\text{Market Cap} = \text{Price per ounce} \times \text{Total ounces in circulation}
\]
You can find the price per ounce on the gold chart. For the total ounces in circulation, you might need to refer to external sources or estimates, as this data is not readily available on TradingView.
4. **Add a Custom Indicator**: If you are familiar with Pine Script, TradingView's scripting language, you can create a custom indicator to calculate the market cap based on the price and the total ounces in circulation.
5. **Adjust the Time Frame**: To get a long-term chart, adjust the time frame at the bottom of the chart to your desired period (e.g., 1 year, 5 years, 10 years, etc.).
6. **Save the Chart**: Once you have set up the chart to your liking, you can save it for future reference.
