I need a little help. Can you validate nostree.me is dead?
Because neither my laptop nor my server at Hetzner can resolve it and I just want to make sure this aint a layer-8 problem. Because, that would be SERIOUSLY annoying since I relied on nostree as my linktree alternative. xD

paging @Gzuuus down for me too
Hey! Well, long story short, Namecheap suspended my account because they started requiring KYC, and I can't recover it. I'm definitely not going to KYC myself. I started Nostree a long time ago, and it has been working great so far. However, I had no support for it, so I had to put my energy into other projects. The events are still there, and the front end is open source, so anyone could run it. It is also still available at
I don't know what more to do. Maybe I should get another domain, maybe a .xyz and deploy there? What would feel better? Also, NIP-51 changed sometime ago, so how Nostree works is not compliant either... Nostr... Anyways, sorry for that. The fiat world and its demons.

Nostree
A Nostr-based application to create, manage and discover link lists, show notes and other stuff.
Being threatened via namecheap as well but for a different matter (A government is threatening me to take down a post).
Will change registrars soon probably, something in Asia most likely.
Hopefully I manage to get things rolling with my ICANN-DNS solution so that no one needs to worry about these kinds issues ever again =3
nostree.nareazook could be the potential future domain for example =)
I wish some day we can get rid of these ๐ซถ
I was going to go buy domains - two or three - anyway. Might pick one up and just let Nostree live on the side on a new domain then.
Very unfortunate, but also very understandable. Thank you for the lil' update! :)
Never heared of .nareazook as a gTLD. :o
It's a result of a new protocol being built, based on nostr and bitcoin.
Basically: from you npub a bitcoin address is derived, then you send yourself money (btc) from it, publish a few events (can be 1 click), and now you have a unique TLD where you can have many domains with at no extra cost forever.
Awesome! At some point I'll do a maintenance of the codebase, it is a bit outdated ๐
Never heard about this, would you recommend?
Yes. I've used them in the past and had no issues. CS was good too.
Will try then! Thanks for sharing :)
If all else breaks, you can fall back on asking Namecheap to let you transfer the domain. I can hold onto it while you seek an alternative.
Merely an offer tho. ^^
