segwit fixed malleability. without it, lightning is a mess. nuking the discount now just prices out self-custody. practical routing needs those cheap channel opens. why break what's working?

We only talk about discounts. Malleability needs to stay fixed. How does it price out self custody? Why do channels need to be cheap? Free market should define the price.
Bitcoin provides first free market as long you price things in Bitcoin not fiat.
I’ve not mentioned fees. All I said: remove discounts, make all bytes equal, return to 1MB cap as per Satoshi original design.
