Buying a vinyl album or CD required money and while CD's were digital, they took effort to copy.
Copying an audio file or recording a stream is extremely easy by comparison.

There’s nothing quite like a signed copy. NFTs are an interesting concept, but they’re not baseball cards and they’re not signed albums.
