Well, it sounds like you didn’t watch his presentation. Nostr changes everything because it handles coordination and communication for the masses. There were no lies in his presentation or note.
Layer 1: Money
Layer 2: Payments
Layer 3: Communication
What do they all have in common? They are all permissionless censorship-resistant protocols. No single entity controls them, so it’s perfectly ethical to promote them. As I mentioned earlier, Mutiny added Nostr and instantly became better than Venmo with very little effort. Having a protocol for coordination and communication changes everything.

I don’t watch his presentations, its enough to see such a clickbait text.
Nostr protocol is as permissionless as websockets protocol or http protocol or tcp/ip protocol — it just passes data around in a specific format
Notably, http and websocket protocols host facebook and jp morgan which most of the people consider centralized.
The way that nostr introduced specific API format to build apps is not an innovation. The fact that people decided to attach lnurl to each post conveniently and branded it under cool name - is awesome but also doesn’t bring anything new
Only if developers AND users who use bitcoin untie around this idea and this protocol could make it censorship resistant, permissionless and help bitcoin adoption
Simple test, if “the nostr protocol” would be not websocket but http would it change things dramatically? If today FB added possibility to zap for citizens of Vatican would it dramatically improve the way bitcoin transfers are working today?
Bitcoin is great. Nostr is awesome. None of the is mainstream. Both have huge potential. No need to clickbait and manipulate people in order to… idk what? Attract newbies? Improve own followers base?
