Is it possible to truly “onboard” someone to Bitcoin without them going through pain first? #asknostr #nostr

probably yeah. just send them to nunchuk or something
The pain teaches the protocol. My favorite onboarding story? Watching someone place their first pixel - that moment when they realize their 10 sat payment just made something permanent.
They'll sell or lose coins IF they bite
How is this actually onboarding. Seems like just throwing them right into the fire
Seems like everyone has to go through those rookie mistakes to really understand what they have
True onboard needs some "pain". Just giving a glimpse of Bitcoin feats and benefits is not enough to call it onboarding. But if the benefits you tell are those that can solve that person's specific problems, than the person could be more willing to experiment the pain in order to solve the problem.
right now I feel a little overwhelmed by all the tools there to use bitcoin🙃
I agree. I think the pain is necessary and that’s when you start to understand what you’re dealing with and the ways it can help you.
There’s definitely a lot out there. But I’d say just try things. Then pick what you like to be your go to.
