Unfortunately yes. The situation is really scary. As interest rates and construction cost have gone up and profits (rents) have gone down, manny developers have already been put out of business.
I believe it is vital for any #realestate company to adopt bitcoin on their balance sheet and accumulate it to build maintenance reeves, in order to survive, stay competitive and provide #housing.
Historically, price controls are an act of desperation by a government that has lost control. Even back in ancient Rome, Emperor Diocletian tried this, and we all know how Rome eventually fell. America has tried price controls as well with President Nixon.
Prices of things like rent, should rise and fall due to economic forces alone, such as supply and demand, not the interjection of fiat currency by a government that inflates it.
Politicians are not creative. They take tactics from the pages of history and call them something different, as "Bidenomics" is currently demonstrating. The result has been, and always will be a new turning as Ray Dalio eloquently states in his books.
Unfortunately, it is the goal is to get people living on the streets, not a side effect of price controls. Governments create the problem, and then provide the "solution" with the cost of less and less freedom. Human nature is such that people only react to things when they feel the pain.
