I think what can happen is those few devs create a fork, but it is each and every member of the entire node community that determines whether or not to implement the fork. Which way will the majority go? Bitcoin Cash BCH is an example that has so far proved to be unsuccessful compared to almighty BTC. This is my understanding, anybody correct me if I’m wrong.
