Is it an actual app? I downloaded it most months and it seemed to be a web wrapper and not an actual app.
Might have to try it again but I found amethyst was better
is a webapp
a web app
a web app
Beautiful interface .. installed the web app ..
This is ultimate .. five minutes in I am sold on mobile as well as desktop ..
Just tested it now and found one correction. On the sign in page using Amber. It's missing the part that can be copy and pasted into amber dirctly and it only shows the barcode currently.
I'll look into it
I did some testing. I see potential but it's very slow in loading in some sections. I suspect it's querying the relays directly? They should probably add a DB. I think amethyst has a DB and that's why it's so fast.
On nostria the home feed should be my feed of who I follow. Right now it's full of stuff I'll probably never use and the home button takes me to that not to the top of me feed. I don't like the search bar at the top. I takes up space when I'm scrolling. It's always there and no way to get rid of it
Looks good so far. Good job on the dev who created it
So far my favorite app is amethyst and website is ditto pub.
The app looks best in dark mode. Perhaps that could be the default [swichable to the white]? The brown text on black background is easy on the eyes and makes the multi color text sections more unified and less busy. Perhaps a monotone 'coffee' colored pallet option would work well too for a future 'toggle' setting similar to darkmode but without too many highlight colors. Great job overall. Fast and responsive interface. It's also great that there are profiles already viewable to first time users to potentially connect with.
Thanks for trying it out! Dark or light mode is initially take from your device, you can toggle it on the menu on the left, or in settings. I don't use light mode nearly enough, I'll get around soon to optimize it a bit more.
Thanks for the feedback! It is using database, but not for everything yet. Meaning that for certain views it will get from relays and doesn't persist locally.
Version 2.0 had the UI you're after, it was more glass effect and the content went from top to bottom. For version 3.0 this have unfortunately been removed due to making it a bit more coherent and toolbars more where they belong. I'm still tuning the UI so it's not settled entirely yet, but 3.0 reduces "menus" from 3 to 1.
I see what you mean with Search, I will give it some thought and see. Previously the favorites was rendered where Search is, and you toggled it by clicking a search button.
Optimizations and performance is something I'm focusing on next few days, already improved a lot and more will come. Thanks!
Yeah its cool
Great catch, this has been implemented with a big beautiful button to copy the connection string.
Mind me asking what client you used to publish this comment with?
I like how you added notifications when someone started following us.
"Someone started following you"
would be great also if "Someone unfollow you"
I want to know everything
I saw some music stuff there too. Lots like it has tons of stuff. I will keep checking it out and using it and report it if I have problems. thanks sir for the hard work 🫡
"New follower" is of course supported already.
Unfollow is not really possible without some processing.
Following requires the following: The person who follows you must publish the following list to your account relays where you are the last entry in the following list. It will not give you notification if you are somewhere else in the list.
Now the question is, how would you be able to get an event when you are unfollowed? It means you would have to listen to kind 3 (follow list) updates for everyone that has ever had your public key in their list... because we can't subscribe to your public key anymore, since it's "gone" now and the event won't be received from relay.
Yeh, Nostr protocol does allow a lot, but it requires a lot of processing for certain things. Your wish is better off for a specific service that does this monitoring and indexing, can be done, but means to build an index over all follows and track unfollows in real time and persist the events.
Thanks for everything!
