Why did we ever agree in the first place to let anyone else make decisions for us? Why did we ever think we needed a government? Maybe order is unnatural.

We needed to cooperate to protect stuff once human groups got into the thousands. Forking off was an option, but then. you wouldn’t get the protection of being in the group
That question could be an entire graduate level course. Not todays fiat colleges, but ones that actually question and strive to learn, find, and understand truth. It would be a great thought experiment to run down! But I’m not intelligent enough to articulate an answer in a simple reply. Great question tho!

Do you think the initial early settlers thought they could simply improve what Britain had created? Not thinking… “why do we even need government?”. Also important to remember that they were fighting Native Americans for land. I think it may have been the easier route to simply improve government dramatically in their eyes.
