Bitcoin isn’t perfect. Imperfect privacy, too expensive, too slow, all that. But I’d argue that layers 2 and higher allow us to improve gradually, maybe even to approach perfection asymptotically. It’s beautiful to see and I feel privileged to watch it getting built before my eyes in real time. 🙏🏼 Nostr isn’t perfect. But I see it as the best playground to get web of trust to work, after over three decades (since the advent of PGP) of abysmal failure. Once we’ve discovered the WoT-equivalent of the difficulty adjustment, we’ll be on our way. 🚀 #WoT

On the topic of relays, for example. Imagine if your web of trust could inform you in near-real time which relays are good to use in what context, which are compromised in any one of a variety of ways, etc.
If Nostr doesn't improve its resilience there will be a fork at some time. The price of using Bitcoin (danger to persobal freedom) instead of Monero gets higher every year.
