Telescopes have existed for a long time. Also, if you think a consumer grade camera can show these objects from earth accurately, you dont understand the atmosphere and electronics/lenses

Telescopes have been manipulated, consumer grade tech is important as it allows people to verify claims.

Also, how would someone "manipulate," a telescope. You didnt address the asympheric, electronic, or lense statement, but cool.
