In 2008 I returned to UK after 3 years in the USA. Painting away, listening to the radio, I was shocked by what I was hearing on the BBC chat and current affairs shows. It sounded like straight up propaganda, no balance as they claim to offer unlike anywhere else.
I mentioned it to my accountant and good friend, a very wise, straight up person, the sort who knows how things work. I expected him to dismiss it or defend the mighty Beeb. Instead he gave me one of his wry smiles and said, "Funny you should mention that."
