Samourai Wallet's conspiracy was that they knew criminals could use their software, not that they knew of any specific illicit use. Think about the implications of such a legal theory, such broad language implicates every software developer, miner, & node operator.

This case showed us the truth about the justice system. They don’t need to prove anything or follow any legal theory correctly. And they can do it because the majority populace never notices.
