What happens when someone with a hyphenated last name marries another?
Do they get quadruple hyphenated?
So for example in a marriage, the bride adopts the husband’s last name and hyphens her last name. If he’s Perez and she’s Rodriguez, she can either become “de Perez” meaning belonging to Perez (the husband) or she becomes “Perez Rodriguez”
The children’s last name can simply be Perez or Perez-Rodriguez
Now this was the old school way of doing things. Nowadays people do whatever haha
