that’s what you don’t get: he IS running Block. so his priorities are to Block shareholders. he literally just told you that in the corporate slide. here is what i think: he’s using primal as early adopting testing for whatever he will roll out at Block. he’ll drop Primal the same as how now he does not say a word about Damus (before that, Blue Sky, altho he mentioned it in the talk but not the “T” word/bird). The only reason he wants human rights is to get citizen journalists to attract attention around emotionally triggering issues because that formula worked in T-bird, so he’s just repeater tweeter here, same to use artists and get them some pennies for their time to dynamise the platform. i forget the second group. believe me i would love to “don’t trust, verify” this guy but he is not going to help artists. he’s in with the pied piper folks leading you to an abyss but telling you what you want to hear. he’s obv sympathetic and as i said it’s a good talk & good slides but a contortionist of points at the same time.

probably he dropped Damus b/c micro-payments thing got tripped up but see just shows he’s using these apps as learning use cases; once he takes it to Block he’ll already have test crashed everything out here.

i do understand that he has obligations to satisfy the block shareholders. i also believe that he wants block to be an important onramp for users all around the world. these ceos have the power and resourses to make dreams come true, i believe he wants to help where he can. i believe primal is the easiest option for most people to experience #nostr. Damus is amazing but currently only on iOS. i guess he would like to be neutral and promote a service available to a larger audience. i will definitely keep your points in mind though. he did acknowledge his failures with twitter in an interview earlier this year and the lost in trust with bluesky. i try to follow people's actions and not so much their ideas. i'll seen a different person recently
