Most of them aren't allowed to say "dead" on regular social media, how do you expect them to deal with the barrage of "retarded"s they'll get treated with.

There will be clients/relays that cater to individuals.
That's kinda the beauty if it. Someone could use a client that mutes 'harmful' words, they will probably have their own semi locked down relay that keeps it siloed.
But we can be here on our own client's calling each other tards and such.
The silos won't be the clients but the relays associated with them.
You can connect to the open nostr, various relays, where all content flows or stays in your default siloed relay.

ngl, i think the flippant usage makes getting adjusted to nostr difficult. if you don’t understand how to properly vet and curate a timeline to your own preferences it may seem like nostr is a tech bro manosphere.
i do think enough people will catch on in time and magnetize in clusters where they feel safe and experience proper value exchange. the possibilities here are endless.
