Demand by excluding other forms of money or demanding by offering a deep discount got your preferred method? It depends on how good your product is. How necessary is it?

The specific times I’m thinking are the bimetallic days. Places that only accepted gold may have been willing to accept silver but I still think they’d tell you to exchange it for gold first. I can’t imagine you’d even ask though tbh.
