I happen to believe it is but happy to look at other evidence.
I believe it is localized. No further than several hundred miles. Under the "firmament" aka dome. 
So it doesn't burn hydrogen and helium at billions of degrees🤔. Would be a bit hotter than it is now if it's only a few hundred miles away!
I suppose, if one subscribes to that THEORY. A lot of "scientific fact” is predicated on man made suppositions.

It doesn't "burn" as such, it's a nuclear reaction as far as I understand.
Thinking of my fire triangle though, it should indeed need oxygen🤔.
