Decentralization within big tech is a whole entire different thing, it's the same word they use to describe Bluesky "decentralization". Technically the idea is a system that is hosted in different places, but at the end of the day is just a proprietary tool controlled by a single entity.
I've sat with multiple vendors in the past, they say "descentralized" quite often when their tool is a SaaS application with multiple DCs across the globe lol
