This is an entirely unsubstantiated take and probably wrong:
I wonder, for regular users who are uninterested in becoming influencers, if their utilization increases as users decrease? I've noticed more quality conversations occuring rather than simply feeling as though users are talking at each other. I certainly feel more comfortable talking within a closer community than in a town square type environment.
