Yooo this is great but is self-cc really optional? I thought this was needed to have a proper timelined thread in the UX

it is optional if you have a client where it keeps your copy in your local DB, or if you don't feel like publishing them for other reasons.. but yeah, to see them in another client or etc, generally clients will publish them for convenience, but care should be taken to only publish them to your relays (and not all).

Awesome video. Last time I tried sending a DM from a client I was creating, I would get the message notification in 0xChat, but wouldn’t see anything when I opened the app. Not sure if you can tell where it went wrong based on that info, but I did tell the agent to take a look at the NIPs. Anyways, I’m inspired to try NIP-17 again. 🤙
