The heuristic "government and institutions have lied to me, therefore I'm going to be inclined to believe random bullshit" is a terrible epistemic framework. I promise people this.

The proper heuristic is that govt always lies when it is useful... to support or justify a war to expand their power over people to distract from some crime they've committed to convince people there is some external boogyman or crisis that only the govt can protect them from to otherwise justify more money printing Anyone with half a brain can see that all legacy corp news stations are completely captured & have been little more than propaganda arms of govt for decades. The corp news sponsors are all govt controlled & govt funded companies. Anything covered on corp news stations is something the govt has directed them to cover. They have been dribbling out nonsense about aliens for a couple years now. The above heuristics suggest the alien coverage is either a distraction from something else, priming for a major "external boogyman" psyop, or some combo of the two.
