This is why I decided to write the book, "How to prepare yourself for marriage", and asked my husband to join, as I kept meeting singles who had no clue how to date intentionally.
We were extremely intentional and from first date to married we only needed 68 days because we'd run out of reasons not to get married before that!
I made sure to also add tools that are important for after the wedding in order to keep the marriage healthy and happy, as the sooner one learns those tools, the easier actual marriage will be. Like forgiveness, sharing all of ones secrets, and daring to ask direct questions instead of hinting.
God might bring a woman around, but it's always a choice, and both people need to choose it for it to work out. But yes! Do involve God. It worked out for me, cause God kept talking me up to my husband whenever he thought something I did or said might be a red flag. I'm not like other women, if I ask about "there pants", I'm actually asking, I'm not fishing for compliments! 😎
